David Hunter Peart

House: Winder At Sedbergh: 1957-1960 Date Passed: March 2023

David Peart, died at home after a long illness.

Beloved husband of Margaret, devoted father of Kirstin and Roger, and loving Grandfather of James, Molly, Beatrice, Grace and Wilfred.

David’s son Roger: “Dad loved all things Sedbergh, especially the friendships formed through his generation (his two brothers Tony and John also attended Sedbergh), my generation and then through James and Molly more recently. When I played for 1st XV he didn’t miss a single match including all away games, and he was there at as many of James’s and Molly’s matches as he was able. He was much respected and loved by all who met him, and known to treat everyone equally, regardless of background or race. Most will remember his enormous laugh which he used as often as he could, seeing the best in everyone and finding good humour wherever he could.”
