As we celebrate 500 years since the founding of the School, we are more determined than ever to continue our Founder’s vision. We want Sedbergh to be known for the outstanding opportunities it brings to the young, irrespective of background.
One important aspect of this is that we are able to help young people, from all walks of life, live extraordinary lives. Sedbergh sees this as part of its mission. In particular, the Sedbergh School Foundation seeks to provide fully funded places for exceptional children from deprived backgrounds under the Roger Lupton Scholarship and Bursary Scheme. Being awarded such a place is a watershed moment for such children providing social mobility and a more equitable society.
