Roger Lupton Scholarship and Bursary Scheme

The Roger Lupton Scholarship and Bursary Scheme was launched in 2012. It’s principal aim is to provide life-changing educational opportunities for exceptionally talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds such that they can fully develop their potential  through an education at Sedbergh that truly does justice to their skills, talents and work ethic.

A good education can unlock opportunities, increase potential and transform lives. As the Headmaster says, Sedbergh is not about privilege but about supporting talented children from all walks of life through a Sedbergh Education.

To safeguard the education of future scholars, the Foundation continues to generate £millions in financial support for this worthwhile cause.

The long term success of the scheme depends on your ongoing help.  If you are in a position to support this scheme, regular or one-off donations can be made online at the bottom of this page or by downloading a Donation Form.

Some supporters have found the donation of shares a particularly tax efficient way of donating to the endowment fund.  Should you be interested in this option, further information on how to donate shares and other assets to charity HERE.

Many award holders of Roger Lupton Scholars and Bursaries are very grateful for the help they received and give back in later life. As such your donation or legacy keeps on giving generation after generation.
